As part of UT San Antonio's new College of AI, Cyber and Computing, the Department of Information Systems and Cybersecurity prepares students for high-impact careers in one of today’s most critical fields. The department offers award-winning programs at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels, including a fully online BBA in Cybersecurity, one of the top-ranked programs of its kind in the country.
The university is designated by the National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security as a Center for Academic Excellence (CAE) in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD), Cyber Operations (CAE-CO), and Cybersecurity Research (CAE-R), making it one of only ten institutions nationwide to earn all three distinctions.
Our programs educate and train information systems, technology and security professionals to defend our nation's cyberspace. Students gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge tools, defensive and offensive techniques, and practical scenarios in application security, artificial intelligence/machine learning, data analytics, database management, digital forensics, industrial control systems, Internet of Things (IoT), intrusion detection, networking and network security. With guidance from expert faculty, students graduate prepared to protect and strengthen digital infrastructure across industries.
